When Beeson Divinity School was established in 1988, the very first public event we held was Pastors School. Ralph Beeson encouraged us to reach out to pastors and to offer a summer conference to provide a place for respite, renewal, and encouragement in their work.

For twenty-five years now, we have offered this annual event as a ministry to ministers. We want to stand in solidarity with those who are called to serve God’s people in the work of preaching, teaching, and pastoral care. Over the years, many thousands of pastors and their families have blessed us with their presence and fellowship. In turn, they themselves have been blessed, encouraged, inspired, challenged, and built up in their calling to serve Christ and his church.

In this anniversary year, we welcome you to the special experience of the Beeson Pastors School. Jesus admonished his disciples to come apart from the busy hectic pace of their ministry and to rest a while (Mark 6:31). We extend that same invitation to you. We do not come to the Beeson Pastors School to escape from the world but to be changed by God’s grace into agents of transformation and reconciliation in the world, the world that God so loved, the world for which Christ died.
